CAF Veterans

Funding Option: Education and Training Benefit (ETB) 

Veterans who have served in the Canadian Armed Forces for a minimum of six years and released after April 2006, may be eligible for the Education and Training Benefit (ETB). Eligibility and funding amounts are determined based on total years of service and release status.

Medically Released Veterans

Funding Options: Manulife & Pension for Life – Vocational Rehabilitation (PCVRS)

Veterans who have been medically released from the Canadian Armed Forces may qualify for tuition coverage through programs administered by Manulife in partnership with Veterans Affairs Canada under the Pension for Life – Vocational Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS). Eligibility is determined through Veterans Affairs Canada.

Reservists (Ontario Residents)

Funding Option: Skills Development Fund (SDF)

Primary Reservists who are Ontario residents may be eligible for funding through Ontario’s Skills Development Fund. Eligibility criteria are determined by provincial guidelines and program availability.

Currently Serving CAF Members

Funding Option: SDPEER (Self-Development Program for Education and Employment Requirements)

Active members of the Canadian Armed Forces may be eligible for tuition support through SDPEER. Approval is granted on a course-by-course basis and subject to chain of command authorization and CAF education policies.

Spouses, Families, and Civilians

Funding Option: Various Financing Options

Spouses and family members of CAF members, as well as civilian applicants, may not qualify for military-specific funding programs but can explore alternative financing options, including payment plans, employer sponsorship, or external grants where applicable.
